June 6: Tanaz Abid won the 1st place in the Grand Finale of the Dazzle Bangla Youngstars Championship in the 14+ year-old group in Boston, MA! Our heartiest Congratulations !

May 21: Sangeetayan students performed at the Hindu Heritage Day Celebration organized by VHP, at Marlborough, MA. They presented Shiva Bhajan and Tarana on Raga Kedar.

April 30: Stamford students took part in the fundraiser for the Fergusson Library at the First Presbyterian Church, Stamford.

April 10: Sangeetayan students celebrated their Annual Day. It was yet another melodious evening at the First Parish Church of Northborough.  All students performed individually before a spell- bound audience of music lovers. There was also the guest artist, Sandip Ghosh, a renowned vocalist from Kolkata, who was accompanied by Debayan Kanjilal on Tabla.

March 26: Stamford students performed at the ‘Rang Tarang’ program organized by HCC, CT, at the Westhill High School, Stamford.

February 27: Swati Sharma came first in the Indian Vocal Classical music competition organized by Sri Laxmi Temple of Ashland, MA. She presented  Raag  Malkaush with Tarana. Students from all the music schools participated in this contest. Swati was awarded a scholarship of $1000. Our heartiest congratulations!

• Students (Age 8 to 15) individually presented classical music and devotional songs at NEHTI’s Hindistani Classical Music Program at Sri Laxmi Temple, Ashland, MA on March 22, 2009
• Students sang Bhajans at the Hindu Cultural Center’s Holi celebrations at Fairfield, CT on March 14, 2009
• Students presented Tarana on Raag Bageshree and a Patriotic song at the IAGB’s Independence day Celebration at Burlington, MA on January 24, 2009.
